Today is International Women's Day! #BreakTheBias
Women make up at least ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐, according to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Yet, women in rural and agricultural livelihoods consistently have less access than men to resources and opportunities.
The FAO reports that if women farmers had the same access to resources as male farmers, Research from the FAO also shows time and time again that #genderequality opens doors for entire communities to improve nutrition security as well as social and economic well-being.
We took this opportunity to celebrate women that are reshaping the #foodsystem and empowering other women with their organizations.
