Moderating “Agritalks” at the Consulate General of Brazil

From Farms to Incubators founder Amy Wu was invited by the Brazilian government to moderate the panel “Opportunities for Investment in Green Finance in Brazil” on Thursday, November 17. The event was held at the Consulate General of Brazil in New York City. Panelists included Marcela Porto Costa a sustainability expert and member of Santa Brígida Farm, Maurício Bauer, Director of Sustainability at JBS Foods, and Leticia Phillips, Representative for North America, Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA).

Keynote speakers included Minister Fernando de Oliveira Sena, Deputy Consul General, Consulate General of Brazil in New York, Fernando Sardenberg Zelner Goncalves the Deputy Secretary for Trade and International Relations for the Ministry of Agriculture and Jose Angelo Mazzillo Junior the Secretary for Agricultural Policy for the Ministry of Agriculture.

ApexBrasil (The Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency) is bringing together scientists and economic experts to hear presentations from Brazilian agriculture and finance executives on the future of agribusiness through a series of private “AgriTalks” events across the U.S. in November and December. After New York, the talk will be held in San Francisco and Singapore.

The AgriTalks series is an informational opportunity for local and international subject matter experts and investors to hear about the latest developments in innovation and technology in Brazil and learn about opportunities to get involved with the country’s high-growth agribusiness sector.
